About Me

About me

I'm a product designer/UX researcher by training--a graduate of the Human Factors and Ergonomics master's program at San Jose State University--and currently working as a data analyst. I'm particularly interested in designing experiences and products that are intuitive and easy-to-use. I believe in improving quality of life through beautiful, enjoyable, and seamless designs, informed through research aimed at understanding the people who will be using the product. For my master's project, I researched how the full user-centered design process, from research through to design, testing, and implementation, can be applied to physical spaces.

Random Facts:

  • I did dragon boat for all four years of undergrad.
  • I've done the Turkey Trot for the last nine years (and counting!).
  • I got into design/HCI after taking my first HCI class in undergrad and feeling like everything I was learning about in class should be common sense. I was surprised to find that it wasn't, so here we are, working to improve designs and apply knowledge of how people think, behave, and act to make the world a safer, more user-friendly place.

Education:
